Myrrhwood Farm is very proud to announce do to wonderful response we are continuing to produce our original line of colorways. We produce some of the finest handspun yarns you will find. All the handspun yarns come from our flock of sheep and is either handspun from roving then handpainted or is handspun from handpainted locks which creates a beautiful fuzzy and luxurious yarn that is sure to impress all of your friends once it is knitted or crocheted into a scarf, shawl or sweater. On this page you will see examples of both our handspun yarn from the fleece and handspun yarn from roving in all of our original colorways. Remember no matter which type of handspun yarn you choose we can dye the yarn in any of our colorways for you. Our techniques of dying have people raving at the richness and brightness of the colors. All of our colorways are none repeating and will create a random color pattern. They will not stripe or create a large blotch of color. Instead it will create a wonderful overall pattern that will make all of your projects especially unique. We continue to strive to provide the best quality handspun yarns you will find anywhere. If you are tired of the same old wool yarns you find in chain stores then try our handspun you will find that it gives your projects new life and once you use handspun you will find it difficult to go back to commercial yarns. If you are a weaver then you owe it to yourself to try our handspun Border Leicester wool yarns on your next project I have been using it on my weaving and find that the results are just great. Here at Myrrhwood Farm we take great pride in producing over 12 Colorways with our luscious Border Leicester fleece. Every color and shade from deepest browns to brilliant pinks and blues. Many of our colorways were inspired by the sites and sounds around us here in Nebraska. Sandhills sunset reminds us of the annual migtration of the Sandhill cranes during a chilly March sunset in Central Nebraska. Niobrara Rainbow is named for the river in Northern Nebraska which sports over 200 waterfalls along its winding course. Maple Creek is just across the road from us. Home to raccoons, badgers, fox and many birds including pelicans, herons, hawks and eagles. The Calamus River is home to many beautiful sites only accessible by canoe or raft. We control the process of making these yarns from beginning to end. From shearing to washing to dying, to spinning we use only quality wool and dyes to produce our yarns. We use no dips on our sheep and no harsh chemicals to wash their fleeces. If we wouldn't wash our clothes with it, we don't use it on our wool! ! We have happy sheep they graze contentedly on green hillsides till the snow flies. They are fed A-1 alfalfa hay and corn through the winter months. All yarns come in 50 yard skeins. Bulky weight yarns with ringlets and curls. Please order all you will need for your project as dye lots will vary some.

The examples you see to the right are some of the handspun yarns we produce here at Myrrhwood Farm which are handspun from roving we have processed for us from our sheep. It is extremely smooth and uniform for those of you who require a smooth uniform handspun yarn for that special project you are looking to start. The colors are the same brilliant rich vibrant ones which are unique to all of our yarns.
