2010 lamb update !!
After just a terrible winter spring brought us a beautiful lamb crop. We did not breed any lambs for 2009 as we did not know what the economic outlook was going to be but because we had such a wonderful response to our handspun yarns we decided to go ahead with our breeding program and am I glad I did. I will continue to post pictures as I get good ones. We are expanding our Icelandic flock again and the cross between our Border Leicesters and CVMs is turning out just fantasic. We are getting some beautiful colors and I think the fleece will be much more to the Border Leicester type. I will keep you posted as the lambs grow.
2008 LAMBS
We are so thrilled with our 2008 lamb crop. Our crossbreeding program with the CVM/Romaldale and Border Leicester is producing some simply beautiful offspring. Fleece quality is outstanding very tight crimp a lot of spring yet still maintaining that spinability from the fleece that the Border Leicester gives us. These lambs as with last years are showing exceptional growth and excellant meatiness. We are also getting some very nice deep chocolate brown color with some of these lambs which is very exciting considering the popularity and uniqueness of the moritt color. We have on exceptional ram lamb that we kept as a ram he is black and very striking with very good size and musculature, if you are interested in a ram for your breeding program please contact us and we will send you photos and any other information you might want.
